Our 2015 Film Festival is about to begin.  This year we are pleased to present a line up packed with films that have already been creating buzz and winning awards wherever they go.

Our festival opens with “Mustang” on Friday night at 7:00PM.  “Mustang” has already 14 awards including the Audience Choice Award at the Chicago International Festival and the Art Cinema Award at the Hamburg Film Festival.  In addition to these other wins Mustang is France’s selection for the Foreign Film Academy Award.

Saturday morning begins with our ¡Viva NYICFF! festival of shorts.  These nine films from the New York International Children’s Film Festival includes 4 award winners.  One of the films, “Lapsus”, won Best Animation at the 2007 ANIMA – Córdoba International Animation Festival.

Saturday’s 12:15PM film, “Mediterranea”, has won a One Future Prize – Honorable Mention at the Munich Film Festival and a Special Mention at the Zurich Film Festival

At 3:00PM join us for “The Cut” which won Vittorio Veneto Film Festival Award – Special Mention at the Venice Film Festival

Our 7:30PM showing on Saturday is “The Wanted 18”.  This unique film has won the Documentary Film Competition at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, the Founders Prize at the Traverse City Film Festival, and is Palestine’s selection for a Foreign Film Academy Award.

On Sunday we begin at 1:30 PM with the Sundance Film Festival Short Film Tour.  All of these shorts have been honored at The Sundance Film Festival, but this program can also claim over 40 other awards and honors including a SXSW Grand Jury Award and a Festival Prize at the San Francisco Short Film Festival

“The Russian Woodpecker”, at 4:00PM on Sunday, has already won 5 awards this year including Grand Jury Prize at Sundance.

We close our 20015 festival with “Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine”.  Be sure to catch this engrossing documentary from Academy Award-winning director Alex Gibney.
