  • STORSTAD (BIG CITY)
  • Sweden, Rafael Deugenio
  • 12 minutes, English
  • Dark clouds move quickly over the town. In an apartment a child four years old is playing with his cars, watching a constantly nagging TV, drawing with his colored markers, listening to people walking in the staircase outside the apartment. Several days go by and his only company is a teddy bear. The child often goes to a closed-door, opens it carefully, and looks in. Outside in the town, we can hear the different sounds of vehicles and traffic lights clicking as if they were a giant town clock.

  • WIG
  • USA (LA and FRESNO), Todd Holland
  • 21 minutes
  • A bald dead woman, her favorite wig stolen by her son, and a family that expects to bury her in it in three days? WIG mines the humor in the face of tragedy and brings fresh style to the timeless journey of recovery after loss.

Part of the 5th Fresno Film Festival (2009).
