Fresno Filmworks presents “Our Time Will Come”, a story of the Hong Kong underground resistance during Japan’s occupation in World War II. Directed by Ann Hui, the film centers around Fong Lan, a primary school teacher, whose school has been shut down and whose boyfriend has recently gone to work for the invading Japanese. Unwittingly, Lan finds herself involved in a mission to save novelist Mao Dun. Lan’s mother discourages her involvement in the resistance but she remains optimistic that one person can make a difference, and insistent that she has a responsibility to fight for what’s right. Starring Xun Zhou, Eddie Peng, and Wallace Huo. Presented with English subtitles. Assistive listening services are not available for this film.
