2024 Oscar-Nominated Short Films

Join us on March 3 and 4 for showings of the 2024 Oscar-nominated short films at Strummer’s in the Tower District. For the 19th year, Magnolia Pictures and ShortsTV continue the tradition of sharing the world’s best short-form cinema with the Central Valley in three categories: animation, live-action, and documentary.

We’ll kick off at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 3 with animated short films, followed by live action films and wrapping up with documentaries. On Monday, March 4 the showing will start at 5:30 p.m. with a reshowing of the animated films followed by live action films. This is your annual chance to see the nominees and predict the winners for your Oscar pool a week before the Oscars broadcast! Tickets for each showing (animated, live action, and documentaries) are $12 for general admission and $10 for seniors and student. Tickets are cash-only at the door but may be purchased online at ticketweb.com. Strummer’s is at 835 E. Fern Ave. Door will open a half-hour before showings.
