Synopsis & Film Details
In the spirit of Halloween, Filmworks presents the zombie rom-com “Life After Beth,” featuring young stars Aubrey Plaza and Dane DeHaan. The American independent film tells the story of Zach, a young man who tries to continue dating his girlfriend Beth after she comes back from the dead. Right before her sudden death by snakebite while on a hike, Zach tells Beth he wants to date other people. Later, he sees her resurrection as a chance to make things right. But after Beth starts punching walls, spewing expletives, gnawing on car upholstery, and — worst of all — eating people, Zach is forced to rethink his relationship decision. Filmmaker Jeff Baena, who co-wrote “I Heart Huckabees,” makes his directorial debut in a movie that Variety calls “charming, thoughtful, and laugh-out-loud funny.” Co-starring John C. Reilly, Molly Shannon, and Anna Kendrick.
Director: Jeff Baena
