The Queen of Black Magic, presented by Cinemelt

Fresno Filmworks and Goldsteins Mortuary & Delicatessen proudly present: Cinemelt, a monthly free movie night. 

We are excited to start something new and make a partnership with Goldsteins to bring a free monthly movie night to the Tower District. The films shown during Cinemelt will be different than what we have traditionally shown. The spirit for Cinemelt is to have fun with cinema. Exploring different genres, seeing film through the ages, as well as connecting to the community; this is what Cinemelt means to us. We will also be having beer floats! Ampersand has kindly donated ice cream for us to cool off and enjoy a refreshing scoop with a beverage. We are looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces as we start our screenings of Cinemelt.

The Queen of Black Magic is a tale of vengeance and an introduction to 1980s Indonesian horror.  Murni (portrayed by film star Suzzanna) is cast aside when her seducer marries another woman. At the wedding the bride starts hallucinating and the incident is conveniently blamed on Murni who is thrown to her death over a cliff. A strange recluse saves her and teaches her how to seek revenge on her tormentors.
