Your date with Roger Ebert and Life Itself

“If anyone ever deserved a feature-length documentary as their cinematic eulogy, it was Roger Ebert.”
Critic Marc Mohan of The Portland Oregonian calls our Friday, Aug. 8 movie, “Life Itself,” a moving, inspiring, and touching tribute to Ebert, one of the greatest movie critics and social commentators of our time. Ebert passed away in April 2013, but his extensive archive of film reviews will serve as accessible inspiration for the next generation of cinema lovers.
On our blog, Filmworks advisory board member Jim Piper muses about Ebert’s subtly observed, plainspoken reviews. And our summer intern introduces us to a group of Tower District regulars who clearly know how to act while At the Movies.
Advance tickets are on sale at the Tower Theatre box office, or you can buy tickets online right now. Show times are 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. The film is Rated R.
