Fresno Filmworks serves as a cultural arts partner of the ongoing City Art House film series at Fresno City College, a presentation of the FCC film studies program.
Wim Wenders is cinema’s pre-eminent poet of the open road. During his more than 40-year career, he has taken us on journeys of people as they search for themselves in his native Germany and around the globe. In Fall 2015, after restorations were completed on several long-unavailable films, the retrospective “Wim Wenders: Portraits Along the Road” toured art houses around the U.S. Fresno City College presents three of his most celebrated road movies:
Alice in the Cities (1974) – Friday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m.
The American Friend (1977) – Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m.
Wings of Desire (1987) – Saturday, April 2 at 7 p.m.
The City Art House series is hosted by John Moses, FCC film studies instructor and President Emeritus of Filmworks. Screenings are in the Music Recital Hall, room MS 132. Admission is free and open to the public.
