Filmworks presents: HAUTE CUISINE

Food lovers will smack their lips over the latest Fresno Filmworks movie coming to the historic Tower Theatre this Friday, Dec. 13.
For the last screening of our 2013 season, we present the deliciously witty French comedy Haute Cuisine. Show times are 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. The movie is based on the real-life story of Danièle Mazet-Delpeuch, the private chef to French president François Mitterrand in the 1980s. The protagonist becomes embroiled in the clashing politics of the all-male kitchen staff, as she becomes the first-ever woman to prepare food inside the Elysée Palace.
Our longtime friends and cultural arts collaborators from L’Alliance Française de Fresno are co-sponsoring the film, along with La Boulangerie French Bakery & Café. The early screening will include a discussion with French cook Patrick Bourrel, owner of La Boulangerie. And, as an added treat, French pastries will be for sale in the lobby!
As always, you can buy tickets on our website.
