Don’t miss "The Double" this Friday

Let’s face it: being labeled “one of the best films of 2014 so far” doesn’t happen without great acting. When it comes to our Friday movie, “The Double,” British filmmaker Richard Ayoade couldn’t have asked for more talented young stars for the film.
New on our blog, our summer intern provides a wonderful roundup of interviews with lead actors Jesse Eisenberg and Mia Wasikowska, offering a glimpse into their character portrayals — and in Eisenberg’s case, both of his characters. The Los Angeles Times praises their onscreen chemistry, saying, “It is the interplay between Wasikowska and Eisenberg that gives ‘The Double’ both its tension and its charm.”
While at Friday’s screening, be sure to check out our doubles-themed photo booth and make a photo side-by-side with your lookalike friends and fellow moviegoers. (Our friends Anna and Heather from Bitwise Industries, pictured above, have already gotten a head start.) Any two audience members who dress up as doubles will be rewarded with double vouchers for free concessions snacks! And if the shirts in our photo look familiar, they’re our 2014 Fresno Film Festival tees. You (and your double!) can find them for sale online in our Etsy shop.
Tickets are still available for both the 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. shows. Purchase them here and we will see you at the historic Tower Theatre.
