WHO ARE WE?

FFW is a community-based, non-profit organization with a 12-member Board, about 300 sponsors, and a mailing list of 900 for Clips, our newsletter.

WHAT DO WE DO?

We bring high-quality independent, foreign, and documentary films to Fresno's historic Tower Theater on the 2nd Friday of each month. We also sponsor special film events and an annual World Film Festival. All showings are open to the public.

WHY IS FFW NEEDED?

No commercial theater has made a regular series of excellent foreign and independent films available to film lovers in Fresno. Fresno viewers often have to drive to LA or San Francisco to see the many exciting, prize-winning films that never reach area screens.

HOW DID FFW START?

FFW was founded in 2001 by a group of local film lovers. FFW began showing films at the Fresno Art Museum in March 2002 and moved to the Tower Theater three months later.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT MORE?

You can subscribe to our monthly newsletter, CLIPS, for information on upcoming films and events, film reviews, volunteer activities, etc. Sign up at our Information Table after the show or send your name, address, phone and email plus a check for $12 to Fresno Filmworks, P.O. Box 4555, Fresno, CA, 93744.

HOW CAN I HELP?

WHAT'S NEXT FOR FFW?

FFW is working on creating a special venue which will allow for a complete film experience; it will incorporate a screening space, a space for conversation, lectures, and education, and a cafe. We will be actively involved in fund-raising and planning for this space in the months to come.
